I created visual design for Fujifilm promotional video aimed at showcasing the diverse aspects of Fujifilm’s business.
The protagonist in the story returns home during the Chinese New Year’s holiday and gathers with his family to discuss various Fujifilm-related topics. He introduces the different industries that Fujifilm is involved in. The video aims to increase awareness of Fujifilm and its diverse range of products and services.
Inspired by traditional Chinese lantern silhouettes, the animation features a rotating lantern showcasing scenes of a family reunion dinner. This minimalist approach evokes a strong sense of Chinese culture while maintaining visual clarity.
Stoyboard
The story unfolds through rotating lantern scenes, each capturing intimate family moments. Transitions are smooth, ensuring a cohesive narrative flow.
Character Design
In character design, I used vector silhouettes to capture the family members’ traits through their outlines, paying close attention to the transitions and curves of the contour lines to emphasize their unique characteristics
Background Art
I designed the backgrounds to be intentionally minimal, incorporating traditional Chinese New Year elements such as “Fu” stickers, plum blossoms, and hotpots to add cultural richness. Warm, inviting color palettes further enhance the cozy and celebratory mood.
Style Frames
I combined traditional Chinese styles with modern design to create a visually engaging and culturally meaningful experience. The natural inclusion of brand details communicates effectively without losing the animation’s emotional appeal.
